ナレーター：店で、男の人と女の人がコートを見ています。男の人は、どのコートを買いますか。
男の人：会社に着ていくコートが欲しいんだ。白いのもいいね。
女の人：会社では、黒いコートを着なくてはいけないんでしょう。
男の人：うん。休みの日なら白でもいいんだけどね。
女の人：長いのと短いのがあるね。長いほうが暖かそう。
男の人：長い黒いコートは持っているんだ。でも、駅まで歩きにくいから、短いのを買うつもりなんだ。
女の人：そうだね。毎日歩くなら、そのほうがいいね。
男の人：うん。今日は会社に着ていくのを買おう。
ナレーター：男の人は、どのコートを買いますか。
Explanation: The man wants a coat to wear to work, where he has to wear black. He already owns a long black coat, but it is difficult to walk in, so he decides to buy a short one instead. Therefore, the correct picture must show a short black coat.

ナレーター：レストランで、男の人が店の女の人と話しています。男の人の食事と飲み物は、全部でいくらですか。
男の客：ランチと温かいコーヒーで、六百円ですか。
女の店員：はい、そうです。
男の客：冷たいコーヒーでも、同じ値段ですか。
女の店員：冷たいコーヒーにすると、百円高くなります。
男の客：そうですか。今日は暑いので、ランチと冷たいコーヒーをお願いします。
女の店員：デザートは二百円ですが、いかがですか。
男の客：おいしそうですが、今日は要りません。
ナレーター：男の人の食事と飲み物は、全部でいくらですか。
Explanation: The lunch with hot coffee costs 600 yen, but the customer chooses iced coffee instead. The staff member explains that iced coffee costs 100 yen more, so the total becomes 700 yen. Although a 200-yen dessert is offered, the customer says he does not want it, so it is not included in the final price.

ナレーター：男の学生と女の学生が、ノートを返す話をしています。女の学生は、どうやってノートを返しますか。
男の学生：貸したノート、今日返してもらってもいい？ 今夜、試験の勉強に使いたいんだ。
女の学生：ごめん。家に忘れてきた。学校には五時までいる？
男の学生：ううん。今日は三時に帰るよ。
女の学生：じゃあ、四時ごろ、家に持っていくね。
男の学生：その時間は歯医者に行っているんだ。母が家にいるから、母に返してもらってもいい？
女の学生：分かった。お母さんに返すね。
男の学生：ありがとう。明日の朝でいいって言ったけど、今日使いたいんだ。ごめんね。
ナレーター：女の学生は、どうやってノートを返しますか。
Explanation: The female student forgot the notebook at home, so she cannot return it at school. She plans to bring it to the male student's house around four o'clock, but he will be at the dentist then. Since his mother will be at home, he asks her to give the notebook to his mother, and she agrees. The notebook will therefore be returned today through his mother.

男の社員：明日の朝、新しい社員に工場を案内する人を探しているんです。
女の社員：田中さんはどうですか。工場のことをよく知っていますよ。
男の社員：田中さんは、明日は午後から来るんです。
女の社員：じゃあ、山田さんは？ 明日は朝からいますよ。
男の社員：山田さんは事務所で働いているので、工場のことはあまり知らないそうです。
女の社員：鈴木さんなら、毎日工場で働いているし、明日の朝もいますよ。
男の社員：じゃあ、鈴木さんにお願いします。私は明日の朝、病院に行くので。
女の社員：分かりました。
ナレーター：明日の朝、新しい社員に工場を案内するのは誰ですか。
Explanation: Tanaka will not be at the company in the morning, and Yamada does not know the factory very well. The male employee also says that he will be at the hospital that morning. Suzuki, however, works in the factory every day and will be there in the morning, so he is asked to show the new employee around.

男の会社員：よかった。歩くと一時間かかるので、そのバスで行きます。
女の会社員：自転車は駅に置いていないんですか。
男の会社員：今日は雨だったので、自転車では来なかったんです。
ナレーター：男の人は、どうやって会社に行きますか。
Explanation: The train is not running because of an accident, and walking to the company would take an hour. The man also says that he did not come by bicycle that day because it was raining. After learning that the bus to the company is still running, he decides to take that bus.

ナレーター：男の学生が、女の先生と日本語の勉強について話しています。男の学生は、今夜、発音の練習をどうしますか。
男の学生：先生、言葉は分かるんですが、発音が難しいんです。家では教科書を読んでいます。
女の先生：声を出して読んでいますか。
男の学生：いいえ。声は出していません。言葉もノートに十回書いています。
女の先生：発音の練習なら、私が読んだものを聞いてください。学校のホームページで聞けますよ。
男の学生：聞きながら、ノートに書くんですか。
女の先生：いいえ、書かないで、一つ聞いたら、同じように声を出して言ってみてください。
男の学生：分かりました。今夜は、その練習をしてみます。
ナレーター：男の学生は、今夜、発音の練習をどうしますか。
Explanation: The student has been reading silently and writing words repeatedly, but the teacher explains that these methods do not directly practice pronunciation. She tells him to listen to her recorded pronunciation on the school website and, after hearing each item, say it aloud in the same way without writing it down. The student agrees to use this method that evening.
