ナレーター：家で、男の子とお母さんが、部屋を片付けています。男の子は、本と箱をどこに置きますか。
男の子：お母さん、この本と箱、机の上に置いてもいい？
お母さん：箱は下に置いてね。大きいから、上に置くと、本が読めないよ。
男の子：じゃあ、本も箱も机の下に置こうか。
お母さん：本は毎日読むから、上に置いて。
男の子：本は箱の中に入れない？
お母さん：うん、入れないで。その箱には古い服が入っているから。
ナレーター：男の子は、本と箱をどこに置きますか。
Explanation: The mother tells the boy to put the box under the desk because it is too large to keep on top. She also says that the book should stay on the desk because he reads it every day, and she tells him not to put the book inside the box because the box contains old clothes. Therefore, the correct picture must show the book on the desk and the box under it.

女の学生：そうだね。じゃあ、箱をあの机の下に入れておいて。椅子はそのあとでいいよ。
男の学生：分かった。黒板も汚いね。
女の学生：黒板は私がきれいにするよ。
ナレーター：男の学生は、このあとまず何をしますか。
Explanation: The man has already finished moving all the desks, so choice 4 describes something he has already done. The woman asks him to bring chairs from the next classroom, but before doing that, she tells him to put the box under the desk because the chairs would block access to it. She also says that she will clean the blackboard herself. Therefore, the man’s first action will be to move the box under the desk, and carrying the chairs will happen afterward.

ナレーター：女の学生が探している本は、今どこにありますか。
Explanation: The woman says that she originally left the book on the desk by the window, but it is no longer there, so choice 1 refers only to its earlier location. Because the window was open and the book might get wet from the rain, the teacher moved it. The man specifically says that the teacher did not put it on the teacher’s desk because there were already many books there; instead, it was placed on the chair by the door. ナレーター：二人はなんじに駅で会いますか。
Explanation: At first, the man suggests meeting at 10:15, which is also the time of the bus, but the woman says that meeting then could make them late. She asks if he can come at 10:00, and he agrees, saying that he will leave home at 9:30. The museum opens at 10:30, so that time is not their meeting time, and 9:30 is only when the man leaves home.

ナレーター：男の人は何を持っていきますか。
Explanation: The man first offers to bring tea, but the woman says that she will bring it herself. He then asks about fruit, and she says that she would like apples. He also offers to buy bread, but she says it is unnecessary because she is already making a bento. In the end, the man says that he will buy only the fruit, so apples are the only possible answer.

女の先生：お金は金曜日までで大丈夫ですよ。
男の学生：じゃあ、金曜日にお金を持ってきて、申し込んでもいいですか。
女の先生：いいえ。申し込むのは水曜日までですよ。お金はそのあとでもいいです。
男の学生：分かりました。きょう、いえで父に話して、あした、申し込みます。
ナレーター：男の学生は、いつまでに申し込まなくてはいけませんか。
Explanation: The teacher says that the student must apply by Wednesday. Friday is only the deadline for bringing the money, and the student later confirms that he understands the application deadline is earlier. Tuesday is when he plans to apply, but it is not the final deadline, while Sunday is the day of the kabuki performance. Therefore, Wednesday is the only possible answer.
