Day N4 - 14 - Preparing for the School Festival

Visual exercise: Daily N4 - Day 14

What this practice will help you express

This practice will help you describe situations where someone makes another person do something, ask politely for permission to perform an action, talk about being made to do something, and compare options by saying which one stands out the most. These functions are used in school activities, clubs, presentations, and festival preparation.

You will work on the causative form to describe actions assigned or required by another person, such as distributing materials or joining an activity. The causative request pattern ~させていただけませんか lets you politely ask to be allowed to participate or carry out a task. You will also practice describing situations where someone is made to do something with the causative-passive form, and expressing preferences or rankings with ~が一番です.

The vocabulary focuses on school festivals, clubs, senior and junior students, printed materials, displays, broadcasts, school activities, and memories of past events. These ideas appear in preparing classrooms and presentations, distributing materials, choosing activities, and looking back at earlier festivals.

After completing this practice, you should be better able to explain assigned tasks, request permission to participate, describe being required to do something, and say which activity, event, or option you consider the best or most interesting.
